Matt and Wendy Wedding

img 8814 300x199 Matt and Wendy WeddingWhat a beautiful day it was yesterday for Matt and Wendy’s wedding. The wedding and ceremony were held at the gorgeous Rancho Capistrano and was all put together by the amazing Gini Garner. The ceremony was short and sweet and everyone was just awesome to work with. The reception was a ton of fun while everyone was dancing their butts off all night until the newlyweds were wisked off in the limo.

People like Wendy and Matt make doing this job so rewarding. Good luck to you both!

Carol and Anita Wedding

img 8245 300x199 Carol and Anita WeddingThe weather couldn’t have been more perfect and being right on the ocean there is always a fear of a marine layer coming in and ruining your pictures but Mother Nature was in full cooperation today as Carol and Anita exchanged vows after being together for 24 years!! It was quite a beautiful ceremony with Carol singing to Anita, and a lovely sand mixing ceremony that involved the entire family.  Carol and Anita are one of the nicest couples I have had the pleasure of working with and the event went on with the precision you would expect from an event managed by Linda Gray from A Wedding Store. Linda is simply an amazing coordinator that I love working with since I know things are going to be done right. I was the primary shooter on this event working as an associate photographer for Esquire Photography.

New trixbox CE book finally finished

511SrLj 89L. SL500 AA240 New trixbox CE book finally finishedFor some people writing a book may be fairly easy, but for me, writing a book seems like a monumental task, especially with a project like trixbox CE that changes almost on a daily basis. The first book was supposed to be about Asterisk@Home and was almost finished when AMP became FreePBX with a bunch of new features and major sections of the book had to get redone. Just as I was finishing it up AGAIN, Andrew called me to tell me that it was changing to trixbox with a bunch of new features, and again, major sections of the book had to get redone.

This time was no exception except many times it was ME making decisions about trixbox CE that would dramatically change things I had already written for the book. It’s one thing to be at the mercy of someone else, but when you are causing your own grief, its that much worse! The first book was a good overview of trixbox and came in at 148 pages. The new book, as yet unamed, is a very detailed dive into trixbox CE and its inner workings, along with maintenance, troubleshooting, and security sections with a page count of over 340 pages. Its finally over and done and time to take up a new hobby in my new-found spare time.

Nicole and Mike Wedding

img 7432 300x200 Nicole and Mike WeddingNever passing up an opportunity to shoot, I had the chance to work with David from Esquire Photography yesterday for Nicole and Mike’s wedding. From a lovely ceremony to a fun filled reception, hanging out with Nicole and Mike last night was a blast. I started off with the guys, which meant I sat watching TV as they barely were ready by the time the limo showed up, from there the day kept getting better and better. It was a perfect fall day other than it being incredibly bright outside. The families were all just awesome to be around. This was a great start to their new life together.

Mark and Rachel Wedding

img 6490 300x200 Mark and Rachel WeddingThis past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Mark and Rachel at the beautiful Kindred Community Church in Anaheim Hills. Although it threatended to rain on us a few times, Mother Nature blessed the day and the awesome lighting she gave us to work with. Mark and Rachel were a blast to work with and we wish them the absolute best as they begin their journey together.

Nick and Kelly Wedding

img 5691 300x200 Nick and Kelly WeddingWhat a treat I had getting to shoot the wedding for Kelly and Nick! They are a terrific couple and Kelly was so laid back getting ready I couldn’t believe it. This was a tough shoot with a number of technical challenges, namely trying to have a ceremony in almost zero visibility, good thing Kelly let me bring in some lights to brighten up her evening. Leah and Linsey, from The Doubleknot Twins, are the most hard working wedding coordinators I have ever seen! From lighting probably close to 300 candles (200 votives in bags with sand), to topping off the sangria bar, they were incredible. All night, Mike from TurtleBoy Studios keep the tunes rolling. What a great evening of fun and celebration!
