Kristi and Aaron Engagement Shoot

There is just something about an engagement shoot that is usually very special. The shoots are usually not rushed, the location often has some special meaning, there isn’t a big crowd of people, and it gives me a chance to get to know the couple better. All of these came together for Kristi and Aaron’s engagement shoot which took place in a very small, secluded park where Aaron had got Kristi to go for a walk one evening. As they were taking in the view of the ocean, Aaron dropped to one knee to propose, so it was only appropriate that we did their engagement shoot at the same spot.  Tagging along as my VOLS (voice operated light stand) was my good friend Jeff Sipper from Sipper Photography.

Peter and Lilliana Wedding

YesterdayI got the pleasure of shooting a nice, intimate ceremony and after-party for Peter and Lilliana. Starting at St. John The Babtist church in Costa Mesa and then heading over to a parent’s house for a little party and some shots out on the gold course. Everyone was a joy to work with and were all a lot of fin to work with. Best wishes to them as they start their new lives together.

Leah and Darrel Wedding

I have been waiting for this wedding for quite a while as I have worked with Leah before as she is a coordinator and one half of The DoubleKnot Twins. For this wedding I shot alongside David Esquire (Esquire Photography) at the beautiful Diamond Bar Center.

What a fantastic day it was even though all week it threatened to dampen the festivities with some rain. Well, it did rain, but only early in the morning and was clear by the time the wedding time came around.

I want to wish Leah and Darrel and the happiness in the world, they are two terrific people who are obviously very much in love and deserve all the best. It was my distinct pleasure to be asked to shoot this wedding for them.

Alex and Genevieve Wedding

img 5819 300x201 Alex and Genevieve WeddingFor what is probably the last wedding of the season, I shot along with David from Esquire Photography for a fantastic day with Alex and Genevieve. I went off to work with the guys while David was off with the girls. We then headed off to the Nativity Catholic Church for very nice ceremony, then off to the Seal Beach pier where we all froze of tooshies off. Finally we headed over to Old Ranch Country Club for a fun-filled reception that ran until midnight. Alex and Genevieve where a total blast to work with and their bridal party kept us laughing all night. Happy Holidays and best wishes on your new life together!

Trash The Dress with Jason and Nichol

img 3117 300x204 Trash The Dress with Jason and NicholWhat’s one of the best ways to spend a sunday evening? How about going up to Robert Evans’ Studio and doing a trash the dress shoot with a hot couple? Jason and Nichol were both incredibly good sports considering its last November, the shoot was outside, and they had the hose being sprayed on them for four hours. Here are a few of my favorites from tonight.

Patty and Josh Wedding

img 1345 199x300 Patty and Josh WeddingWhat an awesome day for a wedding it was yesterday and to be able to work with Patty, josh, and their wonderful family made very a fantastic event. David from Esquire Photography asked me to help him out with this shoot and I was happy to oblige. The morning started off at Bella Monde for hair styling, then off to the Lakewood Baptist Church to finish getting ready.

Most of the portraits were done before the ceremony except for Josh and Patty and Josh’s face lit up when he saw Patty come down the aisle.  The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was fun, and everyone was a joy to work with.  As these two family’s come together, we wish them the absolute best.

Matt and Wendy Wedding

img 8814 300x199 Matt and Wendy WeddingWhat a beautiful day it was yesterday for Matt and Wendy’s wedding. The wedding and ceremony were held at the gorgeous Rancho Capistrano and was all put together by the amazing Gini Garner. The ceremony was short and sweet and everyone was just awesome to work with. The reception was a ton of fun while everyone was dancing their butts off all night until the newlyweds were wisked off in the limo.

People like Wendy and Matt make doing this job so rewarding. Good luck to you both!

Nicole and Mike Wedding

img 7432 300x200 Nicole and Mike WeddingNever passing up an opportunity to shoot, I had the chance to work with David from Esquire Photography yesterday for Nicole and Mike’s wedding. From a lovely ceremony to a fun filled reception, hanging out with Nicole and Mike last night was a blast. I started off with the guys, which meant I sat watching TV as they barely were ready by the time the limo showed up, from there the day kept getting better and better. It was a perfect fall day other than it being incredibly bright outside. The families were all just awesome to be around. This was a great start to their new life together.

Mark and Rachel Wedding

img 6490 300x200 Mark and Rachel WeddingThis past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Mark and Rachel at the beautiful Kindred Community Church in Anaheim Hills. Although it threatended to rain on us a few times, Mother Nature blessed the day and the awesome lighting she gave us to work with. Mark and Rachel were a blast to work with and we wish them the absolute best as they begin their journey together.

Nick and Kelly Wedding

img 5691 300x200 Nick and Kelly WeddingWhat a treat I had getting to shoot the wedding for Kelly and Nick! They are a terrific couple and Kelly was so laid back getting ready I couldn’t believe it. This was a tough shoot with a number of technical challenges, namely trying to have a ceremony in almost zero visibility, good thing Kelly let me bring in some lights to brighten up her evening. Leah and Linsey, from The Doubleknot Twins, are the most hard working wedding coordinators I have ever seen! From lighting probably close to 300 candles (200 votives in bags with sand), to topping off the sangria bar, they were incredible. All night, Mike from TurtleBoy Studios keep the tunes rolling. What a great evening of fun and celebration!
