Tim Warneke is an up-and-coming actor who has been getting a number of small roles lately and its only a matter of time before he hits it really big. So here’s rooting for Tim and his latest headshots we did today.

Lauren was a blast to work with, young and energetic. Lauren is working with me for some examples I needed for my upcoming workshops so I took a handful for her to use and these are just a few of my favorites. You can check out more of Lauren’s work on her Model Mayhem profile.
I needed to get some new examples for the upcoming workshops this month and Stephen needed some new headshots, so the timing was perfect and we had a blast shooting away for an hour or so. Stephen is awesome to work with and has a super good personality. If you ever need a male model for anything hook up with Stephen on Model Mayhem. Here are some shots from this shoot.
Yesterday morning Mya came over to help me get some shots I need for an upcoming article on Camera Dojo and she needed some new shots for her portfolio. After I got the shots I needed for the article we went to work on getting her some images. Mya was just excellent to work with, she moved well, took direction great, and looked amazing. Mya will be one of the featured models in one of my upcoming lighting workshops as well. Here are some of my favorite shots.

There is just something about an engagement shoot that is usually very special. The shoots are usually not rushed, the location often has some special meaning, there isn’t a big crowd of people, and it gives me a chance to get to know the couple better. All of these came together for Kristi and Aaron’s engagement shoot which took place in a very small, secluded park where Aaron had got Kristi to go for a walk one evening. As they were taking in the view of the ocean, Aaron dropped to one knee to propose, so it was only appropriate that we did their engagement shoot at the same spot. Tagging along as my VOLS (voice operated light stand) was my good friend Jeff Sipper from Sipper Photography.
I got a call this week from my friend Rick Miller from Adobe who is working with David Montizambert on a new lighting DVD that they were going out to Joshua Tree National Park to get some shots and setups for using homemade diffusion light panels from PVC and nylon sheets. Never wanting to pass up a chance to shoot with someone like David, I jumped at the chance. Not only did we get all the stuff David needed the segment he was working on, we all switched around taking turns shooting and holding the lights and panels for each other. The following are some of my favorite shots from the day.
Its always fun to step out of the day to day grind and do something that is both fun and creative. Taylor wanted to do some portraits that were very classical looking, which happens to be my favorite style, so I jumped at the chance to setup some traditional lighting and make some awesome images.
Hayley has a casting call this week and needed a simple headshot. But, of course, I went overboard and shot tons of images because she was so much fun to work with. We ended up with a ton of images for her to choose from and I am putting some of my favorites here. Good luck on your casting call Hayley!!
What’s one of the best ways to spend a sunday evening? How about going up to Robert Evans’ Studio and doing a trash the dress shoot with a hot couple? Jason and Nichol were both incredibly good sports considering its last November, the shoot was outside, and they had the hose being sprayed on them for four hours. Here are a few of my favorites from tonight.

It has been complete chaos here with people streaming through for headshots and portfolio shots and one that has stood out recently was Marvell. Marvell has a look that can switch easily from street hood gang shooter to business professional. He was very comfortable in front of the camera and the final results was a nice collection of different looks. Good luck with your career Marvell and I hope to shoot with you again sometime.
