Getting My TriPad On
I do a lot of product photography which is made much easier when you have your camera tethered to your laptop. Most of the other solutions require either a completely separate tripod or light stand or rely on clamps that I am not comfortable trusting my laptop to.
Along comes the TriPad which I immediately wanted and called up the company immediately. The guys rushed me out a unit to review and it arrived today. The system is actually more sturdy than I had expected so I will have no qualms about putting my laptop on it during shoots.
When not shooting tethered, it will also serve as a small worktable for taking notes, placing audio gear, or anything else you could use a portable table for. As a nice bonus, built into the TriPad are two slide-out shelves with the left side serving as a cupholder (nice touch guys!).
Considering the TriPad is HALF the cost of less versatile systems out there, it looks to be a real bargain. Hopefully I will get a chance to really put it to the test over the next week and will post a full review on Camera Dojo as soon as I put it through its paces.
