What’s one of the best ways to spend a sunday evening? How about going up to Robert Evans’ Studio and doing a trash the dress shoot with a hot couple? Jason and Nichol were both incredibly good sports considering its last November, the shoot was outside, and they had the hose being sprayed on them for four hours. The White House Event Center in Anaheim is gearing up to be one of the best party venues in California, David Esquire and I were there last night for their grad night party where schools from San Diego to Palm Springs came in to see what a grad night party is like at the White House, and let me tell you, it is a PARTY!!!. This weekend hundreds of people converged outside of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California to protest the passing of Proposition 8 which forces an amendment to the California Constitution to ban gay marriages. I am very disappointed in the California voters who voted to legalize this form of discrimination. It wasn’t that long ago that women had less rights than men, or minorities had no rights, and interracial marriage was considered a sin by the church. The gays seem to be the last group available to discriminate against and many churches are doing exactly that. I, for one, am not going to stand for it and will be fighting for this to be reversed as much as I possibly can. Here are some photos from this past weekend.
What an awesome day for a wedding it was yesterday and to be able to work with Patty, josh, and their wonderful family made very a fantastic event. David from Esquire Photography asked me to help him out with this shoot and I was happy to oblige. The morning started off at Bella Monde for hair styling, then off to the Lakewood Baptist Church to finish getting ready.
Most of the portraits were done before the ceremony except for Josh and Patty and Josh’s face lit up when he saw Patty come down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was fun, and everyone was a joy to work with. As these two family’s come together, we wish them the absolute best.
